EB Games

Under Construction

The Cloud-Based Gaming Service aims to develop a platform for customers to play and access several games directly from their web browsers, without the need to purchase costly hardware. This project recognizes the new trend in cloud gaming, where powerful servers run games and stream them to customers so they can have the best gaming experience regardless of the capabilities of their devices. The service will maintain a collection of top-selling games across various genres, including action games, adventure games, and puzzle games. Users can register an account, browse the game library, and play games directly through a web portal. Amazon EC2 will be utilized for hosting, ensuring scalability and low-latency gameplay for users across the globe. To enhance user engagement, the website shall have social features, such as friend lists, leaderboards, and in-game chat, creating a community-like atmosphere where users can play and compete against each other. The service shall also provide a subscription feature that allows users to play premium games and features for a monthly subscription fee. With the launch of this Cloud-Based Gaming Service, we expect to make games more accessible to students and players alike, and provide a lively and social game experience while taking advantage of cloud technology potential. This move not only addresses the need for a low-cost alternative to gaming but also builds a community of players.

License Reasoning (100 words)
I have chosen the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3 for this project. It allows users to use, modify, and redistribute the software without any limitations while ensuring that any work that is based on it remains open-source. The rationale for this is to promote innovation and collaboration in the gaming industry. By utilizing GPL, we motivate developers to submit improvements to the platform, furthering a healthy ecosystem of games and features. This supports the project’s objectives of accessibility and community involvement such that the game service remains an open collaborative endeavor between developers and users.
